A basket sand mill is an immersion grinding equipment that combines the grinding of a vertical sand mill with the mixing of a mixer, and has both grinding and mixing functions.

The basket sand mill consists of a control cabinet, a shaft, a grinding basket, a mixing plate or mixing rod, and a dispersing plate. The speed of the mixing rod/plate and the dispersing plate can be infinitely adjusted through a frequency converter, and their speeds can be synchronized or independently adjusted. Visually, it looks almost identical to a high-speed disperser with a cylinder

During operation, the basket sand mill no longer requires a feed pump and corresponding pipelines. The material to be ground and the grinding dispersion device are in the same cylinder, resulting in less material loss and a smaller footprint compared to traditional sand mills. Like regular sand mills, basket sand mills generate a large amount of heat during operation, so the supporting cylinder of the basket sand mill also requires a cooling jacket.
